Social distancing does not mean we as a group can't get together.
Honestly that's more than ever what's needed right now.
We had reached a point of inflection. We have been through the ups and downs this week, and back and forth. We've seen all of that volatility and fragility in the economy. From the quarantined President of Ghana to the number of active cases falling appreciatively in the country. There is no blueprint or rule book for these last few months and weeks to be solved. But I'm here and you are there and frankly that's what the world needs right now - being alive.
We have an obligation to humanity right now. With this obligation comes the unique opportunity to keep your company, your businesses and your brand(personal or otherwise) as a source of truth, light and resources at the front and centre of it all. The businesses who take this responsibility to heart will be the ones who build the trust and commitment to carry it through. Let people know you're here to help, and stand up for them. It is about preparation and planning, not panic, and it is about becoming more socially connected and in-tune than ever, even if we are physically separated.
So, with this obligation, here’s what you can do to help:
Be there for your clients and customers. If your company or business has the ability to operate remotely such as a digital marketing agency, this is a tremendous opportunity to be a resource for clients and provide immense value and help. Everyone is stretched and scrambling right now to figure things out for their lives and jobs. As a business, you possess the capabilities to help your clients and customers in navigating this pandemic. If you are an agency or consultancy, come up with marketing strategies and plans to guide others in the right direction with the right message for their market.Go the extra mile. See what you can deliver for them beyond your usual cadence of work. Be there to provide a sense of continuity amidst the chaos. Not only will it help your clients, customers and those that depend on them, but it will help to strengthen your relationship with them as well.
Be there for your community. These past months, the world has changed a great deal. The effects, we don't yet know in total. Everyone has had their own experience. A lot of people are hurt. People are terrified and scared of what’s to come next. They are losing their jobs, income sources and means to provide food to put on the table. Whatever you can to help, please just do it. Just put yourself out there to help somebody, in any way that you can, by any means that you have, in any shape or form. You never know what someone has been through these past months and weeks, and you never know who you can connect with and help.
Sankofa Digital Marketing Agency is a resource here. We have a smart, creative, and compassionate team who care about our society and our country. If you need help writing a resumé or need digital marketing help for your business, we're here. Please, don’t hesitate to contact us. We may not be able to guarantee to be successful 100 percent of the time, but we can damn well guarantee that we'll give it all we have. This is our promise.
Let's all pledge to give everything we have. Let's just try to put one foot in front of the other, and put others before ourselves. Thank you.
